Overhead™️ travel bag guitars are handcrafted with carefully selected sustainable wood. CITES-compliant continuously cultivable varieties such as North American Sitka spruce, African mahogany, ovangkol, and pau fellow are selected for the structural part, and genuine mahogany is used for the neck and reinforcement parts, and using ebony for the bridge pin.
Ergonomic design
The Overhead™️ travel bag guitar is one of the most ergonomically designed acoustic guitars available.
The tilt angle provided by The Manzer © wedge reduces stress on the wrist by naturally transferring the weight of the fingering arm to the fingerboard, and by allowing the strings to be stroked at an easy angle, shoulder tension and fatigue are reduced.
scale and playability
Overhead™️ The steel-string model of the Travel Bag Guitar and the FP412 use a 24.5-inch (622 mm) scale, which is close to the Gibson scale, with moderate string tension for ease of use. Both fingering and sufficient acoustic performance are compatible (PJ410N is 23 inch scale). FF412/422C have 25.5 inch full scale, and nylon string model adopts full classic scale of 650mm.
The standard neck of the steel string model has a nut width of 44.5 mm and a thin C shape glip, making it highly versatile, and the narrow neck (N notation) specification is suitable for small hands. Uses a narrow nut width of 42.7 mm and easy to play. All nylon string models have a standard nut width of 52mm.
Design of neck detachment system
The neck attachment and detachment system, which has been completed through repeated improvements, not only enables the neck to be attached and detached within 20 seconds, but also has a fine adjustment function for the neck angle. In other words, you can change from a fingerstyle picking setting to a hard stroke picking setting by simply turning the knob on the back of the body! This is a great advantage for guitarists who play in different styles or need to change neck settings.
carefully selected parts
The Overhead™️ travel bag guitar has parts which used in high-end guitars. Pegs are Glover Mini or Journey locking tuners, nuts and saddles are genuine bovine bone, ebony bridge pins, and Elixir phosphor bronze strings. These support the original tone of the acoustic guitar, which is warm and well-balanced.
About tone
Tone was the number one priority when designing the Overhead™️ travel bag guitar. Solid tonewoods top, mahogany neck and block, bridge and fretboard materials all work together to create a surprisingly rich tone from a small and easy-to-play guitar. Send the output of a JourneyTek piezo pickup (not included in the PJ410N) to PA console or amplifier, and the Overhead™️ travel bag guitar will take to the stage with a tone reminiscent of a full-sized acoustic guitar.
About pickup
The Overhead™️ travel bag guitar is equipped with a JourneyTek™ piezo pickup (PJ410N is not equipped). Designed with high-output German-made piezo elements, it fully expresses the wonderful tones of musical instruments in a well-balanced and clear manner. No batteries required.
In addition, for those who require more detailed tone adjustments, the battery-powered pre-amp module EPS001-05(sold separately) which equipped with a condenser microphone allows control of tone/volume/pickup balance. EPS001-05 can be easily added without tools.
